SMALL BUSINESS RESOURCE FORUM

We are thrilled to announce Denver’s Small Business Forum, not only because it’s promoting and supporting small business, AND because it’s being hosted by an incredible organization, The Mile High Business Alliance, but also because one of our founders and rocking speakers, Julia Gentry, has been asked to be one of their featured presenters. Julia will be speaking on When to Hire, Who to Hire, and How to KEEP Your Hire, while a handful of other local business owners and entrepreneurs share their expertise and ultimately, PUSH our small business community forward.

We need more events like these.

Small business needs more support like this.

And we are grateful to those leading The Mile High Business Alliance, the other featured presenters, and our very own Julia Gentry for taking their time to be a part of the change. Here’s to a GREAT event and if you have not registered, please be sure to do so today!! CLICK HERE for more event info or to register.

DENVER, CO – The Mile High Business Alliance is hosting the 2nd Annual Small Business Forum Friday, June 1st at Johnson & Wales University (7150 E. Montview Blvd. Denver 80220). The event will feature nearly 50 workshops and panels in six tracks all aimed at helping Colorado’s small businesses find the resources they need to thrive.

The Small Business Week campaign is a national effort of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and its assistance centers (SBDC) to train and support small businesses. Programs of the SBA include free events for business plan writing, tax workshops and lending programs. The SBA will be presenting their Small Business Awards at the Forum’s luncheon (12:15pm – 1:30pm) where five small business owners are nationally recognized for their contributions to our local economy.

The Small Business Forum is an opportunity for small business owners to receive valuable training for their business, meet other small business owners, and ask important questions of experts in their field. Other forum highlights include sessions in Spanish, keynote presentations by Mayor Michael B. Hancock, Christian Vanek, CEO & Co-founder of Survey Gizmo, and Matt Bauer, Vice Chair of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), and an evening networking reception with live music, food, and drinks.

“Small and local businesses are the foundation of a resilient economy,” says Mickki Langston, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Mile High Business Alliance. “It’s important that our local governments, economic development organizations and community members focus our expertise and investment on the small businesses who make our city thrive.” The Mile High Business Alliance has worked with local businesses since 2007 with programs such as “Colorado Local First”, “Buy Local Week,” “Eat Local First” and “Local Flavor Guides” which feature local businesses in Denver-metro neighborhoods.
